Acceptable Use Policy

By Connecting to MintIRC IRC Network, you hereby agree to all rules and conditions listed here as well as in reference to the Terms of Service. Breaching of these rules will result in proper discipline by an IRC Operator. This AUP may change at any time with or without prior notice.

• You are expected to treat the MintIRC Staff and other users of MintIRC with respect. If a user chooses to harass you, /ignore or /ban them. If this user evades the ignore or ban, please contact an available IRC operator.
• With the exception of violations of the AUP, Channel Management is left to the operators in the channel. If the channel is registered with ChanServ, you are entitled to support with your channel. If your channel is unregistered, and a takeover occurs, no support will be provided.
• Mass advertising is not permitted. Unless you have specific permission from a channel operator, or you are on the channels access list, advertising is not permitted. Mass inviting is also prohibited, and may lead to a G-Line from the network.
• Transmitting or otherwise distributing copyright infringing or illegal material over MintIRC is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to pornography, warez, and viruses.
• Dissemination of personal information of any person against their consent is not permitted.
• You may not charge others for services provided by MintIRC. This includes channel and nickname ownership.
• Any attempt to undermine the security or stability of any MintIRC entity (servers, websites, services) will be regarded as a direct attack, and will lead to further investigation by the proper authorities.
• MintIRC IRC Operators will interpret this AUP if there is ambiguity as to how it applies to your situation.
